So I got this half done song type thing, that I feel completely uninspired to write the lyric for...anyone want a go?
There's more info on the vid page for you muso's out there wanting chord progressions n stuff...
Either way, the Ashbury was sounding pretty good today even if the camera didn't quite do the tone justice!
Enjoy and if you're feeling creative let me know?

So in an attempt to put off the dreads and fears of tomorrow, I took a ttrip to my newly becoming favourite music shop today.
I did some good byes and some welcomes....
Goodbye to my beautiful Strat...
and welcome and hello to a new ukulele....
Now I know I have one or two of these amazing instruments within the Perox towers but this one is a little different.
It is a six string tenor Ukulele with a really nice pickup inside it so that I can be louder....as....I have been asked....to join a friend of mines band! Playing uke as well as singing a bit. A great learning experience for me.
The Ashbury was a reasonable cost for the instrument it was. You can see the BIG picture here...and find out more about bizarre string arrangements as well!
So to give it a run out I did this....
Which is not perfect, as the first comment reasonably stated, but a good time as usual. And it cheered me up!
The 6 string tenor is mainly a strumming, accompanying instrument not a finger picking one, which is what i found out at the start of the recording! Not to mention the bulbous veins and going blue in the face!!
So have a look, listen and do take a smile.

The mighty Jethro Tull here with my own 'arrangement' (such as it is).
Like this song...

So.
Not done one for a while. A Xmas Eve YouTube.
I suppose this one should come with a dedication to the Good Dr_ as yet again she has recommended a winner! Well a good song at least!
Nothing too much to comment on apart from what it says on YouTube.
So let me know...?

Hi all. Been busy with another Uke YouTube.
Methinks I may have tried a little hard with this one, especially after hearing this excellent version .But its a good time song, and interesting enough with the alternative set of chords.
Let me know...oh and the title/ Subject line? Man I always look so anorexically ill without my glasses! Contact lenses are a great thing but you don't notice the droopy dog eyes and the bags/ dark shadows with them on as much!
Okay..vain moment over!
Here's the vid..

I just had to share this with you. I got it because of the Ukulele playing but I like this guys voice, and the song to be honest.
If you click through to YouTube then you can get moe details, including free download! Bargain!
Let me know what you reckon.

(Yes I am aware that I may just have invented a word there!)
I love this!
Its very high brow and a bit posh and up there but anyone (especially the Good Dr_ ) that enjoy singing or have ever studied music theory on any level - will definitely get this!!!
Let me know!

Ok so apart from everybody telling me I look ill, I actually feel much better today.
I had an uninterrupted nights sleep which was great and then promptly fell asleep again this afternoon for half an hour!
Made more soup, which was much better than the last lot, and also cleaned the floors and put some washing through.
In between times I also found time to yet again, redo this video
As usual it has its own little idyosyncracies - like don't forget the end Bridge dufus after getting all the way through the damn song! But its a tricky ol' finger pick and set of chords for uke and I like it. Took some learning and yes. I should really clean those glasses more than 2 times a year!
take care all...nearly there!

Its been a while, and whilst looking through all my tab and tunes I found this and thought 'I don't remember that!'
Sure enough it had been one that I had just downloaded and forgot about.
Coincidentally I have just been aquainted with an old friend who I haven't seen for over 5 years and he is a HUGE Btman fan so this is for him, Malcs.
I hope the rest of you get a smile as well.
By the by, its a bugger of a final chord!!

Oh and don't panic, all my babies are fine, thanks! At least the Kiwaya was tonight when I was 'Purple Hazing' on it!

So I thought I may throw this together tonight, and yep, 'throw' was the operative word!
But it was fun, and I enjoyed doing it!
Also introducing 'BiggunCam - a steadier role to life and film making.'
I thank you!
now, take a listen and smile and pick up the proper version, cos its great!

I have done a new YouTube.
Following requests, some pedantic (you know who you are! I'll git ya!Black alloys do not a girlie car make tough!LOL!
(oh I am gonna get it for that comment!!)
This is the sung version of 'Supermarket Flowers.'
Its a cool tune to pick away at and I like it. It started life as a family saying almost motto about the fact that Supermarket flowers tend to last longer than the ones bought from the florist. Well, you know how it is, pretty soon the saying entered the land of folklore. Often a joke was enjoyed with "Don't you know that Supermarket flowers last longer?"
So here you are my take on relationships and longevity regarding pros and cons of fresh flowers!
I hope you enjoy, and as always if you don't then also please leave me a comment. I appreciate them all.
..take care.

I just fancied this one as I love the Floyd at the best of times and I thought this was a 'made for the uke' kinda thing.
And yes, I have heard the Dark Side of the Uke...thanks!

Okay, this one comes with a health warning. If you've recently eaten give it anhour or so before you watch. Its filmed in glorious '5yrold Cam' again!
All credit duly given for this one. Not a song by me, but my MJHibett a smashing bloke who writes lyrical not altogether serious songs. 'Hey Hey 16k' being one of my faves and of course this one.
I emailed him to tell him that this song is about my working life nd he replied very eloquently and politely. So I bought a t shirt and a couple of CD's and hgave me one for good measure! Not to mention the very stylish badges!
So enjoy it, and venture further into the inner sanctum..sponsored by Buxton water (look closely and

Sorta!
I finally did 'Next Year' tonight.
So after numerous nights and a few weeks of learning the song and messing up the words, coping with naked ukulele dancers, falling cameras, knitting me fingers together with finger picking and learning how to play my lovely new uke...here it is..
Respectfully dedicated to the Good Dr_ as it was her 'request' and idea that it would go well on the uke, and i think it does or at least will with a little more practise it will.
Also, as the good Dr_ is also being a Good Fr_iend at the moment when I needed someone to talk to.
So thank you.
And I hope you like it...a little.

So as not to dissapoint and to keep things fresh I give you '5 Foot 2 - A ukulele cliche!'
This song is made for this instrument! It even encourages me in the George Fo.....I nearly mentioned that name in my LJ....
*shivers*
Anyroad. Enjoy it and I hope it makes you smile. Couple of others in the pipe line but not getting time to record them at the present, so still rehearsing!
